Zak's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi,
My name is Zak, and I came into the rescue from a shelter in UT. I was an owner surrender to the shelter. I was in pretty bad shape. I had a cracked canine tooth that needed to be extracted. I also had a few suspicious lumps on my shoulder. Luckily once I arrived at LVLR, they took me to their super vet, who removed my bad tooth and biopsied my suspicious lumps. Luckily the lumps turned out to be lipomas (fatty tissue).

Being that I am an older lab of about 7-8 years old, I thought I would be in foster care for quite awhile. NOT SO! I was seen by a past LVLR adopter family, and they have a soft spot in their hearts for the senior yellow lab males. It was a match made in heaven. I have three 4-legged siblings; Chardonnay, Shasta and Sunday. Sunday was also a previous LVLR rescued dog.

from left to right, this is Sunday, Zak and Shasta and Suzanne and Bob of course!

Hi, My name is Puddles,
I am a 9-10 month old yellow female labrador mix that came from a shelter in UT. I was also one of the doggies that got to go right to an adoption event shortly after being cleared by the vet. I received a few inquires after the event, but nothing really stuck! And then, the day before I made my TV debut on The Morning Blend on Channel 13, I was adopted. I am so happy, and I can't wait to tell you about my new home. So, stay tuned!

Below I am with Gwen Sebastian, she was a contestant on The Voice, and she is also touring with Blake Shelton! How lucky is she. I wonder if they need a spokes-doggie for their tour.

Luke's Happy Tail (Formerly Waters)

Photobucket

Hi,
My name is Waters, and this is my happy tail!
I came from a shelter in UT on a transport with a few other dogs. Once I arrived in NV, I was taken to the vet for my check up and to be neutered. I then went into foster care with a great couple, Rick and Renee. I came into the rescue at a great time, they were having an adoption event the very same weekend. So I got to head over to the Barking Dogs and show off my stuff!

Competition for finding families was great at this event. There were cute little girl puppies that were soaking up all the attention. I felt like maybe I would be overlooked. But no, there were actually a few LVLR volunteers that spotted my potential. It would only be a matter of time before I made one of them mine!

Well, the picture below is a hint as to which family I have chosen.
Yes, I chose the rescue's very own Dave & Denise to be my family! Not only that, but starting in June, I will be training to be a Sit Means Sit demo dog!

My family thought that Luke was a better fitting name, so I am lovingly called Luke now.

Stay tuned, because I have many tricks up my sleeve, including a love for jumping on, over and away from many things.

Check out my cannonball!

For all of you Waters fans (now named Luke) we thought you would want an update on how he is doing in his forever home. Luke was actually adopted by David Heck (President of LVLR) and Denise Heck (Treasurer of LVLR). Luke is loving his new life and what a life he has! His new daddy is learning to become a Sit Means Sit dog trainer. Luke gets to go to work with his daddy everyday and he loves it. When he is not working, Luke loves to play with his two Lab brothers Vader and Mack and his Lab sister Jasmyne. His favorite past time is to swim and go Dog Dockdiving. Luke's family is blessed to have found this amazing boy.

Chance's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi My Name is Chance, I am 2 years old, and I am a late entry into the Happy Tails of LVLR.
I was actually rescued in February from a shelter in Utah. I have lots of energy, and I know some basic commands, so I found a home pretty darn quick.

Please stay tuned for more information and pictures.

Bella's Happy Tail (Formerly Cleo)

Photobucket

Hi, my name is Cleo, and I am a 6 month old chocolate labrador from a shelter in UT.
I was transported to NV and taken directly to the LVLR Vet for a check-up. After my check-up, I got to go to my foster home. The next day my foster mom took me to my first adoption event at Barking Dogs.

I guess, I should say my "only"adoption event, because I was such a good girl that there were several adoption applications filled out for me. It was a record day for LVLR.

I was in foster care for only one week before I went to my forever home. My new parents felt that I was more of a Bella than a Cleo, so I have a new home and a new name!

Here I am checking out the park.

Maggie's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi, my name is Maggie and I am a 6-7 year old chocolate labrador. I am an owner surrender, but we don't know much about my story. I was fostered by Mike and Clay, along with my 4-legged foster brothers Barclay, Tucker and Oliver. I entered a very happy household and I fit in well with the chaos.

I came with a list of medical issues that required treatment. This included a large hematoma on one ear and a skin rash, both of which could be from allergies to food or environment. I was put on a grain free diet to begin with, and will require further evaluation to determine the cause.

I was in foster care very briefly (8 days) because I was one of the dogs that received an application at the last adoption event (sight unseen)! My new family will receive me as a very large chocolate Easter gift!

Ruffie's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi,

My name is Ruffie and I am 1 year old. I was an owner surrender to a shelter in UT along with my brother T-Bone. We were surrendered because our owner did not have the time necessary to educate us on what we can and cannot do in the backyard. One of us was a digger! Although my foster mommy says it could not have been me, I am a sweetheart (wink, wink).

We arrived in NV and we were immediately taken to the vet for a check-up. After that I went to one foster home and T-Bone went to another.  I was in foster care approximetely 9 days before I found my forever home. One of my foster homes was with Dave and Denise. They were great. They had 4 dogs of their own that I got along well with.

I got to go to an adoption event at The Barking Dogs, and this is where I would find my forever home. A great couple came out to see me and spend time with me. They wanted to adopt me!

Ranger's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi,
My name is Ranger, and I am from a shelter in UT. I think I am about 2 years old.
I was so happy to have been chosen to become an LVLR rescued dog. When I arrived in NV, I was taken to the vet for a check-up. After my vet check, I got to stay with my foster parents Todd and Susie.
I was in foster care for about 20 days, this is a long time, but I think my foster family and the rescue just wanted to make sure I was adopted into the right family.

More information to follow from family (and pictures)
