Duchesses' (#2) Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi, My name is Duchess, and I am a 3 year old chocolate Labrador.  I am true to my name as I enjoy being pampered, have my belly rubbed and be bathed. I look forward to my new home. There is a family already interested in me, and they have an adopted lab already, I will be in good hands. I enjoyed spending time with my foster family, very much, I was only there a short while, but I sure am happy to have a home of my own.

Below I am with my new family, don't I fit in well?

Sadie's Happy Tail (Formerly Honey)

Photobucket
Hi, My name is Honey,
I am an owner surrender to LVLR. My previous owners were not prepared for the amount of energy it would take to keep up with my playfulness. They did not have the time necessary to teach me basic commands, but I am willing to learn. I love to be the center of attention as my foster parents Rick and Renee are learning. They are also learning that I am quite strong for my age. I am 1 1/2 years old.

My foster parents took me to an adoption event at Wholefoods where I met my soon to be forever family.
I showed them how well I got along with children and how willing I was to learn. And, so here I am, a part of their family!

I am home,
Love

Emilee's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi, My name is Emilee, and I am a 2 year old chocolate labrador. I came from a shelter in Utah. I was so excited to get to LVLR and be fostered by Mike and Clay. I got to spend time with their dogs Oliver, Barclay and Tucker. It was one big party that ended to quickly, but the great thing is, I found a forever home!

Stay tuned for pictures of my great home!

Love,
Emilee

Cooper's Happy Tail (Formerly Kodi)

Photobucket

Hi, My Name is Kodi,
I was an owner surrender to LVLR. My former family was not prepared to take care of a puppy with my energy level. They did not have the time to dedicate to making me an excellent canine companion. So, I found myself at the Heck Foster Home! Denise and Dave welcomed me into their family unconditionally. They have 4 dogs of their own, but they did not mind letting me bunk with them, and I even got to travel to work with Dave.

It was not long before I was taken to a home visit with a wonderful family.

Now, I am home,

Love Cooper (Formerly Kodi)

Sheffield's Happy Tail (Formerly Jerry)

Photobucket

Hey, My name is Sheffield (formerly Jerry)
And boy do I have a happy tail to tell. I was a shelter dog from UT, like so many dogs before me.
I was transported to NV where I became a LVLR doggie. I was fostered by Joe, and this is where the story gets great. Joe saw my awesome potential and decided I should remain with his family.

Photobucket

As you can see, it was a perfect fit!

Update on Sheffield

Untitled

Sheffield (formerly Jerry), fit in immediately with our existing pack. I bonded with him from the moment I took him in as a foster for LVLR. It is still hard to believe that he was said to be aggressive toward other dogs during his 3 month stay at a Utah shelter. Sheffield is my best trained Lab in the pack. His basic obedience skills are second to none. For his hobby he loves to do fun nose work and occasionally dabbles in Narcotic detection. I take him almost everywhere I go, people often refer to him as my shadow:) Thanks to LVLR for not giving up on my shadow, like many rescues before him, it would've been tragic had he not been pulled by a great organization. Thanks again LVLR for saving my Shadow!!

Wayco's Happy Tail (Formerly Luke)

Photobucket

Hi, My name is Luke, and I am a 1 year old chocolate Labrador mix. Some believe that I am part Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and that is where I might be getting my striking good looks.
I was rescued from another shelter in UT, and am so happy to be in the care of LVLR and the loving foster home of Melissa.
As you can see from my pictures, I am certainly a puppy, with all the fun qualities. I love to play and run, and I am so happy that I found a forever home. Stay tuned for more on my home soon!

I am home,

Luke

Kaze's Happy Tail (Formerly Ben)

Photobucket

Hi! My name is Ben, and I am a 2 year old labrador from a shelter in UT. I spent some of my time in a shared space with my BFF Zoey. She made the trip to NV with me to become an LVLR rescue dog.
Once I arrived in NV, I was sent to the LVLR vet for a check-up, then I got to stay with my foster dad, Bradford. I was in foster care for 2 weeks before I found my forever home.

My new family thought the name Kaze was more fitting, which is Japanese for "the wind".

Stay tuned for pictures and more details about my happy home!

Otis's Happy Tail (Formerly Mazy)

Photobucket

Hi, My name is Mazy, or at least it was when I arrived into the rescue. My new name is Otis, and I have a great new home. But I am getting ahead of myself.

Let's start by saying I am a record breaker! I came into the rescue and was adopted out in 3 days! I got to spend time with veteran dog fosters Dave and Denise and their 4 dogs. But I am happy now to have my own home, and a new name!

Here I am with my new family. I am on the left.

July 2012 Update on Otis

UPDATE on Otis (Mazy) from his forever home. Marc and I wanted to send an update on Otis now that he has been with us for 3 months. As you can see by his picture, he has reached a healthy weight. He was having soft stool off and on, and was diagnosed with a bad giardia infection, but after treatment he is healthy and happy. He loves going to the lake and to the dog park, and watching television. We're so happy he is part of our family!

Oliver's Happy Tail (Formerly Dawson)

Photobucket

Hi, My name is Dawson, and I am a 1 1/2 year old yellow labrador. I was an owner surrender because my family felt they did not have the time to dedicate to training because they had a new baby on the way.
I came into the rescue and into the foster home of Mike and Clay. These guys are no amateurs in labrador life. They have 2 labs of their own. Barclay and Tucker. I get along great with my foster brothers.

My foster parents describe me as being a big "doof"and say that I am very playful.

I guess I charmed my way into their life, because they have decided to keep me!!
My new name is Oliver.

I am home!

Zoey's Happy Tail

Photobucket

Hi, my name is Zoey, and I am yet another dog that was rescued from shelter life and probable death in UT. I am around 1-2 years of age and have been described as being shy and scared. Who would not be timid after being abandoned at a strange place, and not having the love of a family of my own. Records indicate that I had been in the shelter since December 23, right before the holidays, and it is now March.

Thank goodness I had my BFF Ben by my side and along for the ride from UT to NV. Once in NV I was taken to the LVLR vet for a check-up and then off to my foster home with my foster parents Clay and Mike. I was only in foster care for about 3 days before I found my forever home. In that time my foster parents were able to spend quality time helping me to trust humans again.

Once in my home, I was able to show my new family that I am in fact a typical young labbie!
Look at the picture below, do I know how to party?

Once I arrived in NV I was taken to the vet for a check-up and then to my foster parents Don and Laura. I was in foster care for only 8 days before I found my forever home.

Enzo's Happy Tail (Formerly Dude)

Hi,
My name is Dude,

Photobucket

And as you may be able to guess, I too came from UT. Once I arrived in NV I was taken to the vet and cleared to go into foster care with Laura and Don. This was a happy time for me. I like all the attention! And I love that I have friends to play with. Here I am on the right with the gang.

Photobucket

It was not long at all before I found my forever home! Stay tuned for a picture and an update on how I am doing

Nitro's Happy Tail

Hi,
My name is Nitro,

Photobucket

I came from UT and it seems compared to most labs, I may have had a very rough life prior to being rescued. I may have lived on the street for awhile or in a backyard without human companionship. I seem to know how to manage on my own. I can find water and food outdoors, and take care of myself.

When I arrived at my foster home, I was a little nervous being inside. I felt more comfortable roaming the backyard. But my foster mom Lory and my foster sister Bella were really patient with me. She would give me chew toys and a blanket to lay on. Eventually I began learning that snuggling inside the house was fun too! I really enjoyed my 3 mile walks, and towards the end I learned that I did not have to run from right to left on the leash.

Photobucket

It was not long after my rescue that I found a nice home with Bruce and Vilma. They had recently lost their German Shepherd and were looking for another pet to love. Boy am I going to get spoiled!!

Sam's Happy Tail

Hi,
My name is Sam,

Photobucket

and I too came from a high kill shelter in UT. I was pulled from the shelter and my transport was arranged to NV and into the loving care of LVLR. I began my foster care in the home of Cynthia and Terry, and my foster siblings Dakota and Maggie. It seems my foster home had some small creatures called "cats", and I was not only curious about these cats, I wanted to make them my chew toy! Don't blame me, they look really fun to chase and snap at. So....I needed to be in a home without these small furry creatures, so I got to move in with Rick and Renee. I did not stay long here, as LVLR found me a new forever home! The picture below is of my foster family and my forever family!

T.J. Max's Happy Tail (formerly Taxi)

Hi, My name is T.J. Max, formerly just Taxi,

Photobucket

I was in foster care with Rick and Renee for only a short time before I found my forever home!
I came from Utah with a few of my buddies, to NV where it seems so many people want to open their homes and their hearts to us! Don't I look happy in my new home?
